• My name is Laurie Stock. I am an intercessory missionary at the "International House of Prayer" (IHOP). I began this blog when I was on the Nightwatch (in the prayer room from 12AM-6AM), hence the name. I am in the prayer room in the mornings now. The roles have changed, but the goal is the same: pray and love Jesus. I use this site to share about my time in the Prayer Room, and to give others a chance to catch a vision for what the Lord is doing here and what my life is like here.

My Life in and around the Prayer Room:

This is My Wasted Life:
I filmed and edited this short film during the summer of 2008, when I was on housekeeping and running sound, and had not yet joined a prayer room team in the mornings.

House Trained:
Shot in the fall of 2008, this features my Parkour training around the house and yard.

Join me on this Journey:

Here is my vulnerability: I cannot do this without you. I need God, but He is a relational God who desires- and has designed it- that we would also lean on each other. To be fully supported financially, I need only $500-$700/mo. I need much more than finances, though; I need support.

Yes, I need to pay my rent this month, but my vision is so much larger than that. "Standing by night" is something I plan on doing for the next ten years. I greatly desire (and, yes, even need) friends and partners who will catch the long-term vision for what the Lord is doing here, what it is I'm pursuing, and who desire to become a part of it.

I’m praying and seeking for co-laborers who can be pillars of support and encouragement on this journey, those who desire to be a part of this ministry and share in its fruit and trials for the long haul.

There are also ways for you to join with the NightWatch live right from your own living room:
